Questo blog nasce con l'intento di denunciare lo stato di sporcizia delle strade di Roma, in particolare quelle del centro storico, dove vige la barbara usanza di gettare i sacchi della monnezza direttamente in strada, tra i turisti e i romani che passeggiano. Una situazione incredibile per una capitale europea, eppure a Roma questo accade, tutti i giorni, tutte le sere. Neanche a farlo apposta, proprio stamattina Repubblica sforna un articolo in Cronaca Roma che denuncia questo fatto. Un commerciante del centro si giustifica affermando che in centro there are no bins, the AMA goes to collect the bags only in the late evening and that the restaurants are too small to accommodate the garbage inside. As if to say, rather than remove a table and build a closet for waste, reduce Rome to open a landfill. But the problem does not end here. We have the testimony of an operator of the AMA that, in a conversation with us, told us explicitly that many bags are not even collected and remain there until the next morning, simply because the trucks are very roomy and the AMA are filled before finishing the "collection rounds."
