I could not resist the desire to trust the colors

to experience the thrill of ; flight.

I had myself

but also too many who are prevented,

to others who are discovering the meaning

and are close to meeting the call.

To all who are detained on the ground by force,

to prevent the ideal of a flight to New Frontiers

can be understood and followed.

MODALITÀ DI PARTECIPAZIONE
Questo concorso è nato nella convinzione che la comunione storica tra la civiltà araba e quella siciliana abbia lasciato tracce indelebili, sopravvissute nei riti quotidiani della vita di ogni siciliano. Lo scopo di questo concorso vuole essere, quindi, portare alla luce tali segni. Le poesie dovranno rispettare, pena esclusione, i seguenti canoni concorsuali:
- tematica orientata su costumi e usanze arabe;
- lingua siciliana;
- massimo una cartella (1300 caratteri spazi inclusi).
The poems must be unpublished and attached to the model of participation. It is expected the publication of a tome, which incorporates the poems judged worthy by a committee of literature. Those selected will be notified by phone or by mail.

COMMISSION
The work and the decision of the commission will be absolutely final. The committee is made up of critics and representatives of the cultural world that will be announced at the time of publication of the tome.
COPYRIGHT
Authors, the very fact of participating, Angelo Parisi to give Publisher the right to publish the poems worthy tome, without any claims as copyright. The rights are still owned by the individual authors and papers of participants will not be returned. Participation in the competition implies acceptance of all the clauses of this Regulation. The poetry finalists will be entrusted to a jury of twenty players, who will be responsible to declare the winner. The winner will receive a voucher of EUR 1,000.00 for the purchase of books or APEDA for the publication of their writings. All finalists will receive complimentary copies of Volume 3 & Sicilian Arabic poetry in which their poetry will be published. just ended has been passed for the most important days in the house. Bad weather has unfortunately made by master causing great inconvenience and considerable damage, hurt the environment and people. The images of television have been expressed, I think a little 'all we have followed with concern and regret. Often we have heard also the condemnation of prevention and who does not remain too far away or absent, the words have been harsh on the lips of many people.

For us the memory of the valley, 1966 è rinato dentro con forza, in quell'inizio di Novembre i giorni di pioggia sembravano non finire mai. Ma allora io ero studente a Padova e la notizia dell'alluvione l'ho ricevuta dalla mia mamma, per lettera. Ho visto solo più tardi, a Natale, il disastro provocato dall'impeto furioso dell'acqua.

Ripensavo ad allora il pomeriggio dell'altro giorno e mi è venuto spontaneo posare sulla tavoletta un foglio bianco per ritornare con gentilezza, senza rancore, alle mie montagne, osservarle nella presente serenità velata, 'copiarle' con simpatia e in libertà per come le sentivo parlarmi in quel momento.

Dalla mia 'postazione' on the kitchen counter I just turn and look through the window just shows me that and highlights the changing aspects of my little world I can make all the inspiration I want. The wonders of nature are there, quiet and helpful, yet colorful autumn.
