My Left Leg Keeps On Twiching

A comprehensive law to reform the health system does not get to vote for nearly a century. This should make the idea (even the backwardness of social legislation in the U.S.).

The law was passed with a very narrow margin - 220 to 215 - but it was difficult to imagine that the Democrats did not do. 37 out of 52 deputies bluedog democrats (the current Conservative Party) opposed and voted with Republicans, a member of the GOP - Anh Cao, who was elected in Louisiana and the first member of the House of Representatives of Vietnamese origin, here in the next Photos - voted in favor.

It was the '60s - when the President Johnson had extended health coverage for poor and elderly - in the United States was not dancing in a social reform of this magnitude. As we know the model does not come close to European, but the proposal passed by the House (2000 pages) includes the presence of a public provider of insurance policies (the public option) and a bag of insurance in which the search for cheaper.

will be 36 million new "insured" who did not want to get a policy must pay a fine, you eliminate the odious practice of pre-existing condition, to cover the cost of the reform (which is over "Thrillion") will be increased fees for certain categories of super-rich and eliminated some benefit fiscali per le multinazionali.

any of you remember the so-called Tobin Tax, a proposal for almost 40 years old made by the Nobel prize for economics James Tobin: taxing all financial transactions at a rate not exceeding 1%. In normal times, a simple proposal for common sense.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has proposed the establishment of an instrument very similar to the Tobin Tax in the G-20 which was just held in his Scotland (the news is taken from newspapers). A U-turn over the recent past Brown and the positions he held in the recent past by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Like all governments in difficulty, the purpose of elections is to undermine the new enemy of all public opinion, the banks.

His words were like those Obama uses populist when it comes to finance and financial, but the difference is in the facts: Brown, with the water in the throat, pushes to bring the Tobin Tax, the Obama Administration (and Tremonti) are opposed. Now touch the IMF study the feasibility of the proposal, but no Geithner has already put a mortgage on this hypothesis, which at this point takes on a whole and all British elections. The problem is American, from where it will begin to resist lobbying by Wall Street, "the president? Where he wants to tax? And how? The discussion of this point will be lunga e complessa quanto quella sulla riforma sanitaria.

Wishing Tree Wedding Poem

New Jersey the approval rate is still high for Obama (57% of respondents to the exit polls), voters are very concerned about the state of the economy and more worried than the Republicans have chosen. Obama, however, was very exposed to the Democratic candidate in New Jersey and served to win it: those who voted last year does not choose a bad candidate just because you tell him Barack. There are also some good news: the Democrats have won in the two-elections for two members of the state of California and New York. Especially in the latter case, the Republicans had downloaded their support for the moderate candidate of "conservative party" very extreme. And they lost a safe seat. If the extremist party will continue its drift is not said that yesterday's elections are a good omen for the midterm of 2010. For the Democrats there are several lessons, a little 'have to do with shyness in conducting reforms in Washington as some analysts say the Corriere della Sera. Others concern the ability to mobilize young quell'elettorato constantly and minorities, who brought Obama to the White House. So far there have been successful, Organizing for America, the party chairman, is not taken off.
About takeoffs, in a few days will be the new version of our blog, now projected to 2012. Meanwhile, for those passing through Rome I'll see you Friday night at the library on a Flexi Clementine, 9 .

Kaliber Beer In Ontario

Imparare dalla Virginia

November 3 to vote in Virginia. Important elections because the state had always voted Republican in presidential elections for 40 years until it was torn by Obama. The Democrats, however, a triumph for a while 'the election for governor. To see interactive maps the Washington Post and compare them with results of 2008 county by county. What emerges is that the state has changed significantly over recent years and that the Democrats were able to make these changes: the youngest, highest paid, most minorities.

Sulla sanità invece si fa strada l'opzione pubblica Especially in the House where it seems to have reached an agreement sull'opting out: the states may not want to reject it. In the Senate but is talked about expanding Medicaid (the program for the poor) and the creation of "health stock" where the lower middle class could buy cheaper policies. The compromise between the liberals (who want the option to publish at all costs) and moderate Democrats (who abhor) will be complicated.

What Does It Mean When A Kittens Belly Is Bloated

On the Iranian nuclear seems to have been close to a deal that would allow the administration Obama to gain precious time, a substantial proportion of the uranium would be enriched Russia and France. There are but : we need to see if Iran accepts and we need to understand how fast the material would be transferred in order to prevent the Iranians send some dirty play 'abroad, but replacing it soon to make a bomb. On the Arab-Israeli peace process things are slow, as it was reasonable to expect. The Israelis say they are close to an agreement but beware: the agreement would only be about what you put at the base of the negotiations and not on the same direction. It is in fact part of the UN resolutions 242 and 338, that is, from Adam and Eve. The Palestinians were expecting a freeze on settlements, but Netanyahu seems to have prevailed. The problem is that on this front, the Obama administration fit any American weakness at this time: it can not afford to force the hand that much with the recalcitrant Israeli allies. Then there is another mine on this front: the management of the Goldstone report that accuses the Israeli war crimes. The Netanyahu government even wants to change the rules and affirm the right "to self-defense against acts of terrorism." More or less what is claimed to justify all past military operations of the Jewish state. Meanwhile, the Israeli neocon Michael Oren, now ambassador to Washington, snubbing the conference J-Street, the new pro-Israel lobby, but also "pro-peace." Who would saperne di più su come vanno le cose nei Territori Occupati suggeriamo la lettura di "Time for Responsibilities" , il diario dell'ultima missione dei pacifisti italiani.

What Girdles Didwoman Wear 1950s

Susceptible To Brusing

Il Nobel al primo della classe

It took a few seconds to trigger the debate on the network. Before the blog, then on the pages maintained by the signatures of the media that matter. The argument is more or less always the same: "The Nobel Peace Prize to quote Obama," an encouragement given by members of the committee to the fine words spoken here and the Democratic president. The speech in Cairo, the UN, the words on race. Flights of fancy written by a good speech-writer and, now, not much more.
Then there is the speaker of the second prize after anti-Bush and Al Gore who's medal for a U.S. president does not behave as a reckless cowboy. In many, including U.S. analysts tell us that the Nobel can be counterproductive for the international aspirations of the presidency.
The list of 'if' and 'but' is infinite. Obama is the man in Afghanistan, the president of the war, did not close the base in Vicenza and has not done enough to Honduras after the coup by which the Micheletti coup deposed the elected President Zelaya. And what about the environment? It's difficult and unresolved dialogue with Iran or for the catastrophic situation in what was once called "the peace process in the Middle East." On all these issues Obama does not get results. And is preparing to increase the quota of Afghanistan.
Each of these comments, hateful or ironic it is, ha più di un fondamento. In meno a year has tried to include the clash of civilizations with the Islamic world, nuclear treaties signed with Russia, which is returned (in words) a role to the UN, led his country to discuss greenhouse gas emissions. And then he is accompanying the U.S. through a crisis and tough without inventing enemies. The Nobel Peace Prize is probably exaggerated, as are the exaggerated reactions: Obama is not the best president possible, because a president does not exist.

Prenatal Vitamins Anorexia

the center of Rome? A DUMP FROM ROME

brief excerpt from an article Republic (the picture instead of mine): So many promises, just facts. To take stock of the first year of administration Alemanno was the Trident Association, which brings together residents and merchants of Old Town and that he wanted to write an open letter to the mayor to denounce the lack of concrete actions for the decor and the livability of center. "In a year in the most crowded city, nothing has changed - says the president of Trident - the town hall I have a few tools and little money to intervene in the Capitol, after the many campaign promises, it seems not to care about either the appearance or the problems of the old town. "The letter lists the Trident Association, one by one, unresolved issues in the area between Ripetta, Piazza di Spagna, Via del Baboon and Piazza del Popolo. "Dirt of these roads is under the eyes of all - reads the letter - the collection of the MAI and game only on paper and many areas as a way Soderini, have become open dumps. " A question: how nerve center of the merchants are complaining of the decay and dirt when the first a 1) gettare la monnezza in strada ad ogni ora, 2) non pulire le proprie saracinesche, 3) praticare il volantinaggio selvaggio?

Free Halloween Coffin Plans From Cardboard

Un'apertura sull'Iran?

Yesterday crucial meeting on Iran in Geneva. First of all, on the fringes of the official meeting of the Under Secretary Burns spoke for 45 minutes with Saeed Jalili, the chief negotiator iraniano.

Does Orange Juice Cause Flem

Chimerica

60 years of People's Republic of China. Who would have thought, in their turn and the Soviets disappeared for twenty years. Who would have thought would have celebrated sixty years for tightening the portfolios America? Yesterday on Sole24Ore Mario Margiocco described the anxieties American: the Chinese buy only short-term securities of U.S. public debt, a clear sign of distrust.

If the Chinese - and Japan - continue so there would be enough money to support the debt that Americans will create in the next few years (Paul Krugman, the U.S. can pull the rope for another 5-6 trillion dollars in debt. And I call the bank every time I go in red).

On the subject we recommend the purchase of the note Special Limes, Washington and Beijing, which sees a couple in fact forced to live because of the crisis (China is still absolutely dependent on the American consumer, but what Obama wants spending of less. It 's all very complicated). Our advice is concerned: there is an article by one of us. However, read - always on Limes - even against the article of General Fabio Mini, which speaks of a superpower that will never be truly such (China) and another that lives its decline, two weaknesses that live together.

The presentation of the number of Limes are here: the director Lucio Caracciolo is a piece of America2008.

Gesticulating

Restless
on stage: Anna Belle, Adriana Bruno, Marco Sciotto
director: James Paul Giorello, Davide La Porta, Marco Sciotto

The project was born from the pages of Kafka (Prometheus ) Borges (The House of Asterion) and Buzzati (The big picture), becoming a work se stante, composta da tre diversi momenti che si sostengono reciprocamente.
E' così che quel fil rouge attraversa, come un filo d'Arianna, le labirintiche vite dei tre, intrecciandosi alle smisurate catene di Prometeo, agli assillanti ricordi di Endriade, the infinite corridors of Asterion, finally drawing a possible path marked by memory, loneliness and the search for a rest and perhaps will not come, because, probably, these mazes have no doors.

E ' criticism of Mr and Mrs Leverett leading up to the time the negotiations for the invasion of Afghanistan (it was done in cooperation with Teheran): the administration has not done anything concrete to open a dialog similar to what Nixon had with China. It was necessary to terminate such programs in favor of regime change in Tehran, which is still funded by Washington. Risks that eventually return to the limelight neocons simply because Ahmadinejad, Chavez and Kim Jong-il is still around and the Democrats have not found a way to treat them differently.

Brent Corrigan Full Movie

L'Onu, che è un edificio 60 years, with a management and organization 60 years, for a time sends an important message from his decision-making. Normally it is the individual agencies on specific issues or on the Assembly to vote on motions, not the council.
We can certainly make mistakes, but the fact that the UN has been sent Susan Rice, adviser on foreign policy closer to Obama already during the election campaign, was already a signal that the UN could and should, in the intentions of the President, gain more centrality especially for those who would agree to major global challenges facing all together: poverty, environment, pandemics, nuclear disarmament. The adoption of the resolution is also a sign that Rice is working well and that with Russia, on the nuclear issue, the U.S. is doing a job in perspective. Another subject, today the UN will be fun: Chavez speak, Nethanyau, Shakasvili and Iraqi President Talabani.

How To Fake Community Hours For High School

Senato, presto si torna a quota 60

The Massachusetts Senate has denied its law a few years ago, authorizing the Governor Deval Patrick to appoint a successor to Ted Kennedy. At the time of the old law, the governor was a republican (remember the Mormon candidate Mitt Romney in the GOP primary?) And the Democrats feared a coup. Patrick must now choose who to assign a place and a coveted seat pretty sure to gain in a year when you vote in the middle term. The last name is Michael Dukakis, former governor and former presidential candidate defeated by Bush sr.
The importance of the Law lies in the possibility for the Democrats to pass some important legislation without any Republican votes. The case of health care reform is the first. Of course, first have to agree with each other.
